MSNBC’s ratings momentum continued in April, as the network finished the month as the only cable news net to show a viewership increase over last year. MSNBC up 9%, while Fox News was down 14% for the same period. Trends mean?

The BBC, CNN, CBC Newsworld and other all-news broadcasters covered scarcely anything but the narrowly averted catastrophe throughout the day. Funny thing, but the general public wasn't buying it. The reaction was surprisingly cynical...
