In June, Google Trends, underwent quite a few updates such as actual numeric results and the ability to download them to a spreadsheet. Today, Google launches a completely new version of Google trends with exciting new features, called Google Insights for search.

I find it hard to be too scandalized by news of secret deals between the British and Moqtada al-Sadr's guys not to fight when the US has some interesting deals with "the enemy", too. News filtering and aggregation site SkyGrid, based in Sunnyvale, CA, has raised a relatively big $11 million second round of funding. The round was led by RRE Ventures, with previous investor BlackRock also participating, along with a "prestigious group of investors from both Wall Street and Silicon Valley," the company said.
